The Abbey Road Institute recording workshops

Equipped with the original multi track tape files from Simple Mind’s iconic album New Gold Dream, Peter presented 2 workshops at the Frankfurt Musikmesse.

Subject – Recording and mixing drums for a rock production.

Over 30 years experience in the music business has provided Peter with a wealth of knowledge in all areas of recording and mixing with some of the worlds top artists. The workshops concentrated on Peter’s tried and tested recording and mixing techniques, including information on setting up the studio, microphone selection and placement, drums and cymbal choice, heads and tuning, equalization, dynamics processing and mixing effects.
