Peter Gabriel - Secret World Tour

Performed: 1993-94
Venue: World Tour
Credits: Touring Sound Mixer, Front of House

The Secret World Tour was Gabriel's first major solo outing since his tour of 1986–87 to support the album So.

He waited for almost a decade before embarking on the next tour, Growing Up, in 2002.

“Peter wanted someone with studio experience to mix the show,” recalls Walsh, who was initially reluctant to go out on the road for so long. But he warmed to touring and stayed with the Secret World Tour to the end, totalling 162 concerts in a year-and-a-half. Walsh also mixed the double album Secret World Live as well as the soundtrack for the film of the concert.

“It came along at the right time, offering me a break from studio work and a chance to see the world while working with an amazing artist like Peter and some of the best musicians on the planet. I learnt a lot about what makes a great performance and how to capture it!”
