Recorded at Utopia Studios, London on a custom Neve 8040 console with the legendary 1095 preamp / EQ modules. This was one of the last recordings made through this console before it was sold to The Kinks and installed into Konk Studios.
"Mee Mee I Love You" was the lead single for Donovan's 1980 studio album, Neutronica.
It was co-written by his daughter, Astrella, who was a young child at the time, which inspired the innocent, playful, and repetitive nature of the lyrics.
"Mee mee mee mee, I love you" and "Do do do you love me?"
To promote the single in Europe, Donovan performed the track on popular international music programs, including a notable 1981 appearance on Germany's WWF Club TV show.
